What better way to remember a vacation than to blog it instantly while you are on it? I'm waiting for everyone to get ready right now so I have some time....
We drove from Donnellson, IA to Kalamazoo, MI last night, stopping only once for dinner and gas in Princeton, IL. We left at 4:30 Iowa time and got here at 12:30 Michigan time, total drive time 7 hours. We ate at Wendy's, which I know we can get at home but it seemed like a good, quick solution. We stood in a pretty long line to order but, after that, the food was good....there was, however, an interesting collection of people at that Wendy's though. There were a few biker chicks throwing F-bombs, a large group of twenty-somethings that had to be on some sort of school/church trip and us....
The drive was pretty uneventful. The kids were fairly quiet in the back....everyone but Kenny and I slept for a while. I drove the whole way which is ok...the Chicago area was a little intense but I kind of like driving in that every once in a while! I wouldn't want to live in that though!
Well, everyone's starting to wake up now and get ready.....guess I should go. We're driving to the Detroit area later to see family.......

Retreat
Spring retreat is finally here! It's 1:10am and I'm still going strong....well, maybe not as strong as I was at 9pm. I just finished the Wedding album and have all of the page protectors on. I'm so happy! Now, tomorrow, I will work on the reception. Hopefully, I'll get a lot done. I'd like to go home and have the wedding, reception and card books all finished! Well, back to scrapping! The lights go out at 2:30am and I'd like to get more done before then!!

Another Day, Another Dinner
My husband and I met friends of mine from college tonight for dinner. Like last night, even though we don't see these friends often, it was like no time had passed. I'm really enjoying this weekend and having some time to relax and reconnect with so many.

Friends
I had dinner with three of my best friends last night. I hadn't seen them or really talked to them for a few months. But, the positive thing about these three women is that no matter how much time goes by between seeing them, we can always pick up where we left off. We talked about life, babies, getting older and kids. And, at the end of the evening, I felt like I'd went back in time a little bit and regained a bond with these three. As we said at the end of the evening, I'll see you in six months! But, I'll think of them often until then and remember the times where I could see them daily.
